Hi, I'm Kristina.
I'm a wife, a mom, a photographer, an entrepreneur, a woman of faith, a creator, a dreamer, and someone who has learned that sometimes the life we build looks very different from the life we once imagined.
And maybe that's exactly why I'm here.
The Kristina Michelle Collective wasn't born from a perfectly mapped-out business plan. It grew slowly from my own life — from the beautiful parts, the incredibly hard parts, the things I've overcome, the things I'm still working through, and the women I've had the privilege of meeting along the way.
For years, I thought I was building a photography business. It turns out, I was building something much bigger.
'The' Story
that tells it all..
My Story Didn't Start With Empowerment
There have been seasons of my life when I didn't feel particularly strong or empowered.
I've experienced abuse. I've struggled deeply with self-worth and confidence. I've walked through unexpected changes within my marriage and family. I've experienced what it means to become an adult caregiver when life changes in an instant, and I've had to grieve versions of a life I thought I would have forever.
I've lost so many pieces of myself along the way. And I've had to learn how to find them again.
There wasn't one magical moment when everything suddenly became okay. Rebuilding has happened slowly — through faith, reflection, hard conversations, boundaries, learning, failing, trying again, and continually choosing not to give up on the woman God created me to be. I'm still doing that today. I don't share my story because I've reached some perfect destination and now have all the answers. I share it because I know what it feels like to keep moving forward while you're still figuring things out.
Faith Became My Foundation
My faith has become one of the greatest anchors in my life. Not because believing in God has made life easy. It hasn't. There have been many seasons where I've questioned what God was doing. Times when circumstances didn't make sense. Times when prayers weren't answered the way I hoped they would be. And moments when the road in front of me looked nothing like the one I thought I was supposed to be walking. But through those seasons, I've learned something I carry with me today:
God doesn't waste our stories.
Even the chapters we wouldn't have chosen can shape us. My faith has taught me that my identity isn't determined by what has happened to me, what someone else has said about me, the mistakes I've made, or how successful I appear to the outside world. My worth was there all along. And so is yours.
I Thought I Was Building a Photography Business
Photography gave me an unexpected front-row seat to women's stories. Women came into my studio believing they needed photographs. But so often, what I saw was something deeper. I met women who had spent years taking care of everyone except themselves. Women building businesses while quietly questioning whether they were capable enough to lead them. Women whose bodies had changed. Women navigating divorce, motherhood, loss, career changes, aging, relationships and new beginnings. Women who had forgotten what it felt like to see themselves as beautiful, capable and worthy. And sometimes, somewhere between the nervousness at the beginning of a session and seeing their photographs afterward, something shifted. They saw themselves differently.
Those experiences changed me, too. I began realizing that photography was never really the destination for me. It was a tool.
A tool for connection. A tool for confidence. A tool for helping another woman recognize something in herself that life may have caused her to forget.
And once I understood that, the vision started getting bigger.
One Thing Started Connecting to Another
Photography led me deeper into empowerment. Empowerment led me into conversations about self-worth, beauty, self-care and identity. Business ownership introduced me to incredible women, networking communities, leadership, education and entrepreneurship. My own experiences made me passionate about honest conversations surrounding boundaries, relationships, faith, confidence, healing and rediscovering ourselves.
I started writing. Speaking. Teaching. Creating resources. Building community.
And dreaming about what could happen if all of those pieces finally had somewhere to live together.
That place became The Kristina Michelle Collective.
Why the Collective Exists
The Collective isn't about becoming some flawless, perfectly confident version of yourself. I'm certainly not one. It's about becoming more connected to the woman you already are — and giving yourself permission to continue discovering who you're becoming. This is a place where confidence and vulnerability can exist together. Where faith can meet real life. Where personal development and business growth don't have to be completely separate conversations. Where beauty can be something we enjoy without allowing it to determine our worth. Where women can learn from one another instead of constantly comparing themselves to one another. And where we can talk honestly about the messy middle — the place between who we've been and who we're becoming.
Through education, community, photography, conversations, resources, events, self-care, faith and the stories we share with one another, my hope is that The Collective becomes a place women can return to again and again as they grow.
I'm Still Becoming, Too
There are things I'm still learning. There are dreams I'm still chasing. There are days when confidence comes easily and others when I have to remind myself of the very things I encourage other women to believe. There are pieces of my story that are still being written. And I've decided that's not something I need to hide. Because maybe leadership isn't always about standing at the finish line telling everyone else how to get there. Sometimes it's about walking beside one another and saying: I've been through some things too. Let's keep going.
So whether you're building a business, rebuilding your confidence, rediscovering yourself after a difficult season, strengthening your faith, looking for deeper connection, or simply wondering what might be next for you... There is room for you here. You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to become someone else before you belong. Come exactly as you are. We'll keep becoming together.
Welcome to The Kristina Michelle Collective.
I'm really glad you're here.

Vulnerability in shared stories created a bridge between my experiences and yours, proving that we are never walking these roads alone.
